programming

The Open-R SDK (Software Development Kit) is now available on http://www.aibo.com/openr/

All developmentsoftware may be downloaded free of charge from this site (after registration).

During the summerholidays I have downloaded and installed all the necessary software. A wireless LAN network was setup and tested. Some of the examples have been executed (HelloWorld, SensorObserver and TinyFTPD).  The TinyFTPD application is added to the default OPEN-R directory on the Aibo Memory Stick, so future applications can be transferred to Aibo through FTP. I have studied some Unix/Linux to work with the Cygwin interface.

Starting September 2002 several groups of students will develop C++ applications for Aibo. The process of development and realisation can be viewed on this site.
